This dark green fruit has firm, tasty flesh that's perhaps best known as the main ingredient of guacamole. Avocados are high in monounsaturated oleic fat, which is healthy to eat and has been shown to lower blood cholesterol levels as well as increase your physical activity levels and your resting metabolic rate.
